Thread Painting for Kids

Paromita Pramanick

Today I'm going to be presenting you a very simple and lucrative Artwork which will give a magical treat to your eyes and children will love to perform this art activity at preschools or at home and even at their spare time. Coming to the Artwork that I'm talking about just includes thread, a paper, and some colours. It is very popularly known as the 'Thread Painting'. Children can turn a thread which is considered as a piece of a useless thing to them until they grow up to start using the thread for stitching or for other purposes for that matter.

Yes, this boring thread can be turned into a simple, beautiful and creative painting which can be carried out with the guidance of their Teachers or Parents. Thread Painting is an activity filled with a lot of fun without getting too much of mess in and around. Once the child learns to make use of the 'Thread Art', they will love to do it again and again. This 'Thread Activity' would enhance their learning and growing skills by simply dipping the thread into the colours where they would learn about the different names of the colours and then when they put the thread on the paper it would improve their hand coordination and visual context, and the way of grasping the things patiently while they pull out the thread in the process.

The 'Thread Activity is simply amazing for children as it is easy, harmless, do not require any hard materials or it also resists the use of any scissor or cutter. Thread activity is the most sought of Art for the growing toddlers which will prepare them to focus mentally and they will explore more about new ways of painting and colouring skills from their tender age. Help your child to get engrossed in the beauty of Art World and let them explore things in their own little way. This 'Thread Painting' Activity is also useful for the Teacher's Training Course which would help them to prepare for their training skills in teaching and in the process learning to control or handle things patiently.

This is how the 'Thread Painting' activity looks like. Isn't it the easiest of all the other paintings for children. You can use a thinner thread for this activity or a woollen thread will also do. Follow the same steps for all kinds of thread that you may use for this activity. Create your own beautiful 'Thread Painting' and help your child build new interests related to different objects or little things available at home.
