Healthy Watermelon Mojito | Watermelon Chia Mocktail🍉

Hello readers, hope I find you at the best of your health. With emerging heat in the atmosphere, we tend to find different ways to beat the heat. Hence, I shall be sharing a very healthy refreshing drink for the summers which can be a great option to tackle the hot weather as well as good for digestion and immunity. Let’s see if you are able to guess this recipe in your mind that I’ll take you through the following pictures and a brief description to read herewith. I’ve used some fruits from season special to make the ultimate summer fruit drink which is perfectly worth a treat for summer special drinks.

Watermelon Mojito

I know most of us love summer fruits so much, tropical summer has so many seasonal fruits to offer, and amongst all other fruits I absolutely love mangoes and of course watermelon. With varieties of fruits available in the market in Kolkata, especially from mid-March to June, I’m very fond of selecting my favorites and pick them up in lots to home. I wonder summers just fill my hunger with fruits and I consume a lot less quantity of main course meal in general. And I believe that’s actually a good way to hydrate and rejuvenate the body, as fruits contain more nutrients than cooked meal.

Watermelon Mojito

Let’s talk about the recipe I’m sharing today, we are very much familiar with ‘Mojito’ and along with it goes ‘Virgin Mojito’ , Watermelon Mojito or Virgin Watermelon Mojito. Considering the names are similar, the recipes are absolutely different, although a few basic ingredients remain the same. Mojito is a type of drink originated from Cuba, now of course I checked it on google and to be precise I wasn’t so aware of this drink until I had it in one of my club visit and then researched about it. Haha that made me curious to try it out myself at home. I blended some watermelon with mint, pepper powder, sugar, lil salt and lemon juice, did not add any bubbling drink to it and to my surprise this drink actually exists which is known as ‘Virgin Mojito’.

Watermelon Mojito

I prepare fusion drinks every now and then with 4-5 ingredients to go with it and everyone just loves it at home. This time I tried to make a mix of mojito and mocktail (mocktail is a non-alcoholic drink). Now you guys may have a question raising in your mind, why is that so a combination of mojito and mocktail? And the answer goes this way, because I used all the key ingredients that mojito has except any alcoholic drink, hence why it can be a mocktail with a few other healthy ingredients added to it, in short it can also be called ‘virgin mojito’. Ah!! And this may sound a lot more confusing.. isn’t it?? 😅

Watermelon Mojito

Therefore the name for the recipe I share today is ‘Watermelon Mojito Mocktail’ , or it can also be called as Healthy Watermelon Mojito or Watermelon Chia Mocktail. The addition of chia seeds actually make the drink crunchy in bite, yummy in taste, healthy for the body and refreshing for the soul. Overall the drink is made in a healthy and refreshing way that is ready in moments. This drink is absolutely light, healthier and happier to quench thirst, perfect for a fun-filled healthy summer afternoons or after an outdoor game. I wanted to make this a totally no-sugar drink, however I loved the addition of sugar as it makes the drink sweet, tangy and tastes better to the taste-buds😋
