Rice Flour Cheela
Cheela is basically flour based flatbread
recipe mainly prepared for breakfast and lunch. It is often served with some
chutneys or south Indian curries. Rice Flour Cheela is commonly prepared with
rice flour, however, for this recipe, I have also used varieties of
vegetables to give it a perfect texture and a very new taste. Cheela is an
authentic and traditional delicacy from the central part of India, which is
been prepared as a regular breakfast option. It is very often called and
compared with Dosa in the Northern part of India. There are different varieties
of Cheela recipes, Besan Cheela is very popular among all, it is also prepared
in different methods using many kinds of vegetables
or just along with onion and green chili, which
is the simplest version of all the Cheela recipes.
Rice Flour Cheela recipe is the shortcut method of preparing and I very
often make it in my breakfast when I have less time left in the morning to
serve my family members. Rice Flour Cheela can also be called as Rice Flour
Rotis (flatbreads). Here, I have used few vegetables, however,
you can also skip the vegetables and prepare just the normal dosa type Rice Flour
Cheela and combine it eating with some gravy or curries, or you can just add the
basics like onion and green chili. I have not
used much oil while frying them in the non-stick pan, just brushed the oil once
and that was all. Rice Flour Roti/ Cheela/ Uthappam/ Veggie Dosa/ Dosai, with different names, but quite similar method of
cooking. This is a Fusion recipe from different parts of India. It is very easy
to arrange and made very quickly. It is Ideal for breakfast, lunch or any
specific time of the day. So here follows the recipe. Enjoy cooking!!
